3rd October Weekend - Historical reconstruction in memory of the 1918 liberation of the fort.
Discover the full-scale slide show with 150 men of all nationalities in clothing from the era, military vehicles, firing of cannons, soldier’s grub, and a pipe band. There is also a period dress competition for the visitors.
For all ages. Saturday from 2 pm to 6 pm - Sunday from 2 pm to 5pm. Admission €6.
Special admission price of €4 for anyone dressed in period costume.
Grub is available by booking : Soldier’s grub. Sunday at noon €20 (admission free)
Sunday 19 October: Parade and laying of the wreaths. Leaves from the town hall at 10 am.
The events organized at Seclin Fort focus on the end of the Great War and the liberation of Seclin Fort by the British troops.
A big weekend back in time More than 100 men in uniforms from the period will represent army corps and nationalities (French, British, German) and put on various activities within the fort itself: camps, battle simulations, a field hospital, a forge, a display of uniforms and weapons etc.
The troops will be accompanied by over a vehicles from the era. All of the attractions are in perfect condition. There will also be workshops with demonstrations of painting and figurine making.
11 November, Armistice Day

Firing of the cannons between 3.30 pm and 4 pm.
The museum then closes for the winter and reopens on Saturday 4 April 2009.
Requests for group visits (minimum 5 adults) are still accepted during the period when the museum is closed.
